Department:DDTEEntity:Consumer and Veterinary Affairs Service (SCAV)Activities:You play a key role in protecting public health by conducting inspections and sampling in food establishments and beverage outlets in the canton in accordance with the federal food law. Alongside studying construction projects for companies in the food sector, you act as an auditor of their self-monitoring, carrying out sampling intended for the laboratory for chemical, bacteriological, etc. analyses. You also ensure that food is handled under hygienic conditions in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). You are responsible for deciding on measures to be taken in case of violations of hygiene rules or non-compliance with food trade legislation. Finally, you write sampling and inspection reports as well as correspondence with the relevant authorities and administrators.Desired profile:Holder of a university of applied sciences degree or a federal certificate of competence (CFC) in chemistry, biochemistry, food sciences, or general natural sciences, you also hold a federal diploma as a food controller or are ready to obtain it as soon as possible on the job, in accordance with the legal obligation. Furthermore, you have more than 3 years of professional experience in the production, processing, analysis, or trade of foodstuffs, everyday objects, or in the enforcement of legislation related to these areas. Equipped with good writing skills, you have a perfect command of the French language while being comfortable with the use of common IT tools and software. Your ability to work both in a team and independently is accompanied by initiative, strong organization, and rigor.
