To strengthen our team, we are looking for the following position to start by arrangement:
Junior Sous Chef (m/f/d)
In the versatile and responsible role as Junior Sous Chef, your duties will include:
- Supporting the planning and organization of daily kitchen operations
- Determining food requirements and placing orders
- Collaborating on offers and menu design in coordination with supervisors
- Ensuring smooth production processes from mise en place to service
- Maintaining consistently high food quality according to the hotel's standards
- Complying with all hygiene regulations and food law requirements
- Proper handling of machines, equipment, and tools
- Checking goods receipt and quality of delivered products
- Quality control of plated dishes at the pass (recipe adherence, taste, presentation)
- Motivating, guiding, and supporting the kitchen brigade
- Participating in the training of apprentices and further development of the team
- Responsible participation in cleaning and order standards throughout the kitchen
You convince us with the following qualities:
- Completed training as a cook EFZ (or equivalent qualification)
- Several years of professional experience in upscale gastronomy
- Initial leadership experience is an advantage
- Strong quality awareness and attention to detail
- Organizational skills and high sense of responsibility
- Social competence, role model function, and motivating working style
- Team spirit and enjoyment of working in an international brigade
- Very good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness
- Creative, innovative, resilient, and flexible
- Reliable, structured, and careful working method
- Good language skills in German, ideally French knowledge
