Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving the families of the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child assistance , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures distributed throughout the Canton of Geneva. It has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ currently has 670 employees committed to serving young people and their families.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a psychologist for the Aubépine Home which accommodates, day and night, four young people aged 12 to 18 with significant psychiatric issues, and ensures care follow-up through adapted therapeutic and educational services.
Job Description
Your role will notably consist of:
- Supporting adolescents in managing various aspects of daily life (hygiene, schooling, personal organization, family relationships, etc.)
- Ensuring the psychological follow-up of young people in close collaboration with management, the responsible psychiatrist, and the home's interdisciplinary team
- Assessing the psychological functioning of adolescents, taking into account affective, cognitive, communicational, behavioral, psychomotor, and relational dimensions
- Developing, implementing, and leading therapeutic workshops
- Adopting a reflective and meta posture
- Contributing to parenting support and actively collaborating with families as well as placement services and network partners.
Job Specificity
- Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends).
Start date : April 1, 2026
Activity rate : 80%
Contract type : Permanent contract
Class : 18 according to the State of Geneva salary scale

Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology issued by a Swiss university, with a focus on clinical and/or developmental psychology, or a title recognized by the Psychology Professions Commission (PsyCo)
- Valid practice rights in the canton of Geneva, with at least 2 years of post-master practice in a child psychiatry service
- Training in psychotherapy, complemented by specific training in adolescence
- Confirmed clinical experience in therapeutic follow-up of adolescents and psychotherapy, possibly including independent practice
- Experience in supporting families and considering family dynamics within therapeutic follow-up
- Strong interest and motivation to work with adolescents suffering from severe mental disorders
- Proven skills in interdisciplinary work and within multidisciplinary teams
- Solid knowledge of the Geneva social network
- Perfect command of French, both spoken and written.
