Head of Central Services Food Control and Consumer Protection (a)

In this exciting and versatile leadership role, you lead the Central Services department with 4 employees and, together with your team, ensure professional service delivery in administration, accounting, and ICT.

• You design the processes within the department, continuously develop them, and ensure through targeted quality management that workflows remain efficient and reliable.
• As a member of the management team, you actively contribute to strategic issues and the further development of the office. You also participate in specialist groups on topics such as change management or digitalization.
• With your conceptual skills, you create project descriptions, concepts, and decision-making bases and independently implement projects such as the digitalization of inspection activities. 
• You competently manage accounting including bookkeeping, financial statements, and reporting and support the budgeting process. 
• In addition, you take on operational tasks such as issuing export certificates and managing incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring the smooth running of daily business. 
• Thanks to your very good written expression, you write sophisticated documents and correspondence, from press releases to annual reports to formal decisions.

• You have a commercial basic education and a specialist certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable qualification. Ideally, you have also furthered your education in leadership or management. 
• Existing administrative knowledge or the motivation to familiarize yourself with these topics is desirable. 
• In a comparable role with specialist responsibility, you already bring solid experience and enjoy leading and developing a small team. 
• You have a strong interest and good knowledge in ICT topics and are willing to thoroughly familiarize yourself with data management areas such as LIMS.
