Developing Dermatology and Allergology at KSW Together
The Department of Dermatology and Allergology at the Cantonal Hospital Winterthur (KSW) is an established regional centre of expertise for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of dermatological diseases and allergological issues. With a powerful outpatient and inpatient service, close interdisciplinary collaboration and cooperation with the Dermatological University Clinic Zurich, we offer a versatile and professionally demanding environment. As a recognised FMH training centre for Dermatology and Venereology (Category C), we are also committed to training the next generation of doctors.
As part of the strategic development of our department, we are looking for a Senior Physician Dermatology and Venereology to start immediately or by arrangement, who wishes to significantly shape the future of Dermatology and Allergology at KSW with professional expertise, leadership skills and entrepreneurial thinking.
The focus is on the further development of a broadly based, high-performance General Dermatology as well as the targeted establishment and interdisciplinary development of a skin tumour centre. We offer you the opportunity to set medical priorities, establish innovative care concepts and actively help shape the strategic direction of the department in a responsible leadership role.
Who We Are
Your Responsibilities
- Professional, personnel and strategic leadership of the Dermatology department
- Further development of a high-performance General Dermatology with active participation and development of the dermatological and allergological service offerings
- Development and expansion of own professional priorities
- Establishment and further development of an interdisciplinary skin tumour centre
- Independent dermatological consultations and inpatient consultative activities
- Expansion of the allergological services according to own qualifications
- Interdisciplinary collaboration and representation in specialist committees and tumour boards (e.g. Vascular Centre, Plastic Surgery, Vasculitis Board)
- Training and further education of assistant doctors as well as promotion of dermatological junior staff
- Commitment to teaching, further education, quality assurance and network maintenance
- Support and promotion of involvement in clinical studies and research projects at KSW
Your Profile
- Specialist title in Dermatology and Venereology FMH or equivalent qualification recognised in Switzerland (MEBEKO)
- Several years of clinical experience, ideally in a senior or leadership role
- Broad clinical expertise in General Dermatology
- Proven expertise or special interest in Allergology and Clinical Immunology is welcome but not a prerequisite
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and further development of the department
- High patient orientation, strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
- Desire to build things, set standards and help shape a profile
