To strengthen our team in Visp, Switzerland, we are looking for an Operator. Please note that this is a pipeline position.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

As a shift employee in the monoblocks in Visp, you will work in rotating shifts both in the control room and directly in the plants of a production department with several continuously operated plants (gas plants).

In the control room:

• Monitoring ongoing production via process control systems
• Checking and analyzing process parameters
• Detecting and resolving malfunctions
• Safe start-up and shutdown of production plants according to specifications

On-site in the plants:

• Flexible work in the assigned production areas
• Support during changeover and maintenance work

Additional tasks:

• Working with common software (Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP) as well as process-related IT systems

Qualifications and experience:

• High sense of responsibility and commitment to a strong safety culture
• Willingness to work shifts in a 4-shift model (including night shifts and weekends)
• Ideally: experience as an operator in chemical production or service companies and in handling process control systems – and plants, but career changers from assembly or crafts are also welcome
• Interest in new technologies and willingness for continuous training
• Independent and reliable working style, high resilience, and team orientation
• Striving for a high safety and quality standard according to applicable requirements
• Very good German language skills in spoken and written form are mandatory
