Chief Operations Officer
As part of our succession planning due to retirement, you now have the chance to co-write the success story of our company.
Your Tasks
- The COO is responsible for optimized value creation across the entire supply chain for food and non-food of all market-oriented business units in Pistor AG (Group)
- He/she is responsible for the proactive planning of necessary resources, developing additional services, and for the strategic further development of the area. This also includes the targeted management and further development of the Pistor infrastructure and the associated facilities at all three locations (Rothenburg, Chavornay, and Sennwald)
- Co-designing the corporate strategy and objectives
- As part of the management team - supporting the steering of the overall company and enforcing the established goals and services from the corporate strategy
- Representing the entire supply chain towards customers/suppliers and third parties, such as authorities, associations, and transport companies, etc.
- Ensuring the functionality and readiness of all mobile and fixed operational facilities of the BU "Operations" and maintenance
Your Profile
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, or a technical education with NDS Logistics/SCM or equivalent
- Many years of professional experience in a comparable function of a medium-sized company or at least 10 years of leadership experience at a senior level in the SCM/logistics area of a large company
- Good knowledge of logistics technologies in goods/information flow in industry/trade (e.g., trading in raw materials, semi-finished products, food finished products, frozen and fresh products as well as non-food and/or medical consumables, as well as temperature-controlled distribution/transportation around food/medical products)
- Experience in business partner support (planners, suppliers, customers, etc.), as well as in the development and optimization of SC organizations with ERP systems
- Business management knowledge about process cost developments and process design in procurement, intralogistics, and distribution
- Project management experience in organizational development, construction, logistics, and IT systems
- Knowledge of ERP and logistics software as well as the use of new technologies (e.g., robotics)/innovation
- Overall entrepreneurial and strategic thinking
- Logical, analytical, factual thinking ability
- Good and appropriate communication skills with different stakeholders
- High value orientation and long-term thinking in the context of a cooperatively organized company
- Team player, customer-oriented behavior, and partnership thinking
