Your new role
For a livable and green city of St.Gallen, areas of the public road space will increasingly be transformed into green spaces, areas for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, as well as public transport in the coming years. With this, the city is implementing the "Good Air Initiative" / "Future Initiative" adopted by the city parliament in 2021. As a project manager for road construction in the Department of Planning and Implementation of Neighborhood Streets, you develop and lead road construction projects to implement shared space zones. Together with an interdisciplinary team, you develop sustainable solutions and, based on preliminary studies, prepare the plans for the next project phases. In close cooperation with the department head, you coordinate the involved offices and specialist departments, prepare reports and applications, and accompany the projects through all phases. In addition, you conduct public participation procedures, ensuring transparent and constructive involvement of the population.
This position is for you if
- You have a completed technical education as a civil engineer ETH/FH/HTL or a comparable qualification.
- You have experience in project management of construction projects, from the idea to completion.
- You are a committed, open personality with strong communication skills and social competence.
- You enjoy value-based teamwork as well as exchange with expert committees, departments, and the population.
- You are confident in handling common PC applications.
