The Building Maintenance department ensures that around 40 school, administrative, sports, and infrastructure buildings of the municipality of Pratteln are in top condition daily. A dedicated team of caretakers and cleaning staff ensures smooth operation and maintains a diverse, demanding real estate portfolio.
Your daily challenges. You…
- lead the caretakers (8–10 people) both professionally and personally as well as indirectly the cleaning team with around 25 employees.
- are responsible for the development, further advancement, and quality assurance of the infrastructural, technical, and operational building management for about 40 buildings and facilities.
- prepare decision-making bases for maintenance work as well as for the procurement of cleaning equipment and consumables based on economic and ecological criteria.
- further develop the foundations of operational building management, maintain them, and transfer existing concepts "Caretaking of the Municipality of Pratteln" into modern, digital structures using the digital CAFM system Byron BIS.
- coordinate commercial building management topics within the Department of Education, Leisure, and Culture and closely coordinate structural repairs with the Building Team of the Department of Construction, Traffic, and Environment.

- have completed basic training in the main construction trade or in the commercial sector.
- have higher education in real estate management, construction planning, business administration, or equivalent.
- bring experience from public administration or a similar activity – ideally for several years.
- are independent, proactive, and conscientious.
