We are looking for a committed individual as Communications Officer 80-90% starting May 1, 2026 or by arrangement.

In this hub function, you are responsible for all communication of the city of Sursee and shape its perception through proactive topic management. You ensure quality, quantity, timing, and coordination of all communication tools.

Your tasks include

‒ Professional and organizational leadership of the communications department

‒ Planning, coordination, and implementation of internal and external communication measures

‒ Ensuring target group-oriented communication for the public and all stakeholders

‒ Monitoring the city of Sursee's external appearance

‒ Advising the city council and administrative staff on communication matters

‒ Leading or participating in projects

‒ Managing social media channels, editing the city magazine Soorsi

Ideally, you bring

‒ Degree or further education in communication or a comparable qualification

‒ Consulting competence, political sensitivity, familiarity with administrative processes

‒ Experience in journalism, media, and public relations

‒ Ideally good networking with local media

‒ Experience with social media and multimedia tools

‒ High degree of flexibility, communication and teamwork skills combined with a strong interest in public sector topics
