The city of Thun is a significant property owner and uses its real estate strategically for attractive urban development. As the owner's representative, the Office for City Properties is responsible for real estate management.
We are looking for a committed, interested, and innovative person to start immediately or by arrangement
Your tasks:
- As overall project manager, you are responsible for operational project management of construction projects from the preliminary study to handover to facility management.
- You represent the interests of the client in new constructions and renovations within the very diverse building stock of the city of Thun.
- In project organization, you lead the project team and planners proactively and in partnership, ensuring a professional, efficient process from the feasibility study to handover. You accomplish this using Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC).
- You keep an overview and bear responsibility for results regarding costs, deadlines, quality, and required documentation.
- You skillfully conduct public procurement procedures for planner and contractor submissions, manage contract administration, and support the preparation and execution of project competitions.
- In project execution, you prepare project files, documentation, and reports for the office management and the specialist departments within the office.
- Sustainability is important to you, and you ensure compliance with the city of Thun's Building Energy Strategy (GES) and the guidelines for building maintenance in every project.
You bring with you:
- Education as an architect ETH/FH or equivalent training with corresponding experience.
- Professional experience in project management and client representation as well as basic knowledge of construction and planning law.
- Experience in competition support, public procurement, construction process management, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), CAFM tool (preferably Dalux), and Swiss Sustainable Building Standard (SNBS) is an advantage.
- Your working style is characterized by a goal-oriented, systematic, and pragmatic approach.
- You quickly recognize situations or problems and can respond accordingly while maintaining an overview.
- You negotiate skillfully; good written and spoken German is a matter of course for you.
- Initiative, resilience, project management experience, and good IT skills, including BIM software solutions, are part of your toolkit and complete your profile.
