The Zurich Cantonal Police, with around 4000 employees, ensures safety in the canton. Our Service for Operational and Police Psychology supports individuals, teams, and leaders through coaching and consulting. They also conduct training and further education for leaders and specialist departments and are responsible for the psychology instruction at the Zurich Police School (ZHPS). Police Officer with Psychology Degree 80 - 100%

Tasks

• Teaching activities in basic police psychology training (Zurich Police School); planning, conducting, and further developing lessons and operational training on topics such as communication, stress management, trauma, and conflict situations in close cooperation with police officers and trainers
• Conducting seminars and workshops on operational psychology topics
• Collaborating in the development and further advancement of various offerings in operational and police psychology
• Psychological counseling for employees and leaders
• On-call duties and deployments within the Police Care Team (psychosocial emergency aid)

Profile

• Completed psychology degree (Master) or advanced in Master’s studies
• Federal specialist certificate as police officer with solid experience in police service
• Experience in adult education is an advantage
• Willingness to work outside regular hours (on-call duty)
• Committed, team-oriented, resilient, and flexible personality with high social competence and above-average communication skills
• Willingness for professional training and further education
• Impeccable reputation
