Care and Community Health Assistant for Maternity
The Maternity Department of the Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) at CHUV is looking for 2 ASSC with an activity rate between 70 and 80% for maternity (one position in prenatal and the other in postpartum), for a start date from March 1, 2026 or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a reference role in the fields of care, medical research, and training.
The Women-Mother-Child Department (DFME) brings together the Gynecology, Obstetrics, Neonatology, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Surgery Services. More than 1,500 professionals work there daily to ensure comprehensive care for women throughout their lives, as well as for children from birth to adolescence.
The CHUV Maternity, level 3, has more than 200 caregivers (midwives, ASSC, and nursing assistants) and handles about 3,200 deliveries per year. It has a state-of-the-art technical platform allowing the management of high-risk pregnancies, complex situations, as well as physiological follow-ups.
You will work in an environment that promotes teamwork and interprofessional collaboration, closely linked with doctors, midwives, nurses, and the entire perinatal network.
Mission
- You ensure the execution and monitoring of delegated activities
- You provide, by delegation, medico-technical acts in stable situations that do not present an emergency character
- You perform administrative and logistical tasks, mainly related to the patients you care for
- You ensure the support of the patients entrusted to you and assist them in daily life activities when their autonomy is limited.
Profile
You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a care and community health assistant
You have experience in the maternity sector, a definite asset
You are a dynamic, committed, motivated person with a sense of responsibility
You have knowledge of institutional software (Soarian computerized patient record), an asset
- You have an excellent command of the French language, both spoken and written.
