The Bern Historical Museum is one of the most important cultural history museums in Switzerland. It is a growing repository of knowledge and experience for the culture and history of Bern and the world. The collections on history, archaeology, and ethnography comprise around 567,000 objects. They offer insights into living environments from different historical periods and cultural contexts. The integrated Einstein Museum places the life and work of the physicist in the context of world history.

For the period of the new temporary exhibition "Murten, stripped. A victory is staged." from 25.02.2026–09.05.2027, we are looking for a temporary assignment:

Are you passionate about museums and a lived culture of welcome?
As a museum supervisor, you welcome museum guests and are available to them as a contact person for questions and orientation within the building. In the exhibition rooms, you take care of general order, technical facilities, and assume a security function for people and exhibits. You will be deployed in all exhibitions and get to know our house very well.
You are a sociable person with good manners and a well-groomed, confident appearance. You bring a high degree of flexibility for work assignments on at least three full and/or half days including weekends and are willing to work occasionally in the evenings. You appreciate contact with people of diverse backgrounds and have impeccable oral language skills in German, French, and English. You are physically resilient (standing, circulating, climbing stairs) and interested in culture and history. Applications from native French speakers with good German skills are especially welcome.
