About the job
The company PQM Consulting AG based in Pfäffikon SZ is a renowned IT company specializing in quality assurance and quality management. The company offers its customers professional support in optimizing their quality requirements and divides its core competencies into four main components: project/risk management, quality management, requirements management, and process management.We are looking for an experienced Cobol developer for a long-term assignment directly at the client site in the Zurich area. The role is 100% on-site. Start date by arrangement.
Main tasks:
- Further development and maintenance of existing Cobol applications
- Analysis of requirements from the banking environment and their technical implementation
- Bug fixing, performance optimizations, and stabilization of productive systems
- Support in the testing process as well as in releases and deployments
- Close collaboration with departments, business analysts, and test teams
Requirements
- Several years of experience in Cobol development (Mainframe)
- Solid knowledge of the banking environment (accounts, payments, loans, etc.)
- Experience with batch processing, JCL, DB2 or similar technologies
- Structured, reliable, and independent working style
- Fluent German; English is an advantage
Nice to have
- Experience in large, complex IT landscapes
- Willingness to share knowledge within the team
- Understanding of testing methodology (ISTQB is an advantage but not mandatory)
