The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4000 employees, takes responsibility for security in the canton. For this demanding leadership position, directly reporting to the Head of Command Area 2, we are looking for a

Head of Logistics 80 - 100%

Tasks

• Overall management of the Logistics Department with around 200 employees
• Ensuring efficient logistics processes as well as procurement in accordance with procurement law
• Management of larger and complex procurement and real estate projects
• Interface function to the Building Directorate (Real Estate and Building Office)
• Management of cooperation projects with other police forces at cantonal and national level within the professional area of responsibility
• Willingness to lead major operations as a police officer and to perform on-call duty

Profile

• Completed master's degree in the field of engineering with additional business administration training or vice versa
• Professional experience in logistics, procurement, real estate in a larger organization in the public sector or private industry
• Successful leadership experience over several levels in industry, services, or public administration
• Proven project management experience in a technical-business environment
• Competence in managing complex projects
• Experience in public procurement
• Analytical, systematic thinking ability
• Ability to clearly present complex relationships
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Swiss citizenship
