Position Summary
Customs & Trade Specialist is a key member of the Supply Chain organization, responsible for ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, export controls, and freight logistics for a global business aviation environment. This role combines deep expertise in trade compliance, export control regulations, and logistics operations, with a knowledge on ITAR, dual-use goods, and regulatory compliance related to Dangerous Goods (DG) and ADR.
Your mission
- Lead compliance efforts across customs, import/export processes, and regulatory frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs declarations and import/export processes (i.e. IPR program, HS code checks / ruling, classified material, export classification)
- Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.
- Monitor global trade legislation and ensure business alignment.
- Act as primary contact for DG compliance (ADR & IATA).
- Oversee screening and reporting of sanctioned/restricted items.
- Manage customs clearance and collaborate with freight partners.
- Serve as subject matter expert on ITAR, EAR, and ECCN classification.
- Coordinate export licenses and country-specific requirements.
- Train internal teams on compliance best practices.
- Drive process improvements and lead cross-functional projects.
- Advise senior leadership on trade and export control matters.

Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
- 5–7 years of experience in trade compliance, export control, or international logistics.
- Proven expertise in ITAR, EAR, dual-use goods, and DG/ADR regulations.
- Certifications in trade compliance/export control are a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and regulatory knowledge.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in customs and freight management software.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
- Passion for mentoring and training others.
