Senior Java Software Engineer 100% (m/f/d) – Spring Boot / EJB / Angular / DevOps / CI/CD

For a long-term mandate with our client in the federal environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer (Ref. 924511DO).
The position includes the maintenance and further development of an existing legacy specialist application as well as taking over tasks in the area of DevOps (monitoring, incident analysis, operational activities).

Tasks:
* Maintenance, extension, and modernization of a Java-based legacy application
* Implementation of user stories within agile development cycles (Scrum / PI)
* Conducting complex incident analyses and supporting ongoing application operations
* Maintenance and further development of the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy)
* Monitoring and performance analysis using Dynatrace, SoapUI, JMeter, and Linux
* Collaboration with internal IT teams to ensure quality, stability, and security of the application

Requirements:
* Completed education in computer science (HF/FH/University)
* Certifications in Java, DevOps, or Agile methods are an advantage
* At least 2 years / 2000 hours of experience in the following technologies:
o Backend: Java with SpringBoot 2.x, EJB 2.1 / 3.0, JMS
o Frontend: ICEfaces, JSF, JSP, Struts 1.x, Angular from version 2
o Databases: Oracle
o Runtime technologies: WebLogic Managed Server, WSO2 ESB Runtime, Tomcat
o CI/CD: Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy (UCD)
o Monitoring / Analysis: Dynatrace, SoapUI, JMeter, Linux
o Architecture: SOA with MOM (Message-Oriented Middleware)
* Experience with legacy systems and migration to modern Java microservices
* Knowledge of customs processes (Customs & Border Security) or comparable specialist domains is an advantage
* Proven experience with agile methods (Scrum)
