We're all about helping brands turn ideas into impact.
Frontify’s brand platform transforms how teams organize digital assets, collaborate on projects, and create engaging campaigns. Our people empower thousands of marketers and designers — including teams at Uber, Microsoft, Volkswagen, and Telefónica — to build engaging brands.
With headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and offices in London and New York City, we share a vibrant culture built on creativity, collaboration, inclusion, and joy. And we’re on the lookout for new team members to share our vision. If you’re ready for a brand-new adventure, keep reading!
Your team
Your new team is a group of motivated, collaborative, and innovative Engineers. Working on-site, hybrid, or fully remote, they come together to create and evolve a well-loved product but always keep room for new ideas and approaches. Outside of work, they’re parents, gamers, bookworms, adrenaline junkies, and so much more.
Your mission
In the Media Delivery team, we’re building a highly scalable, reliable, and blazing fast solution to deliver media. We’re building on top of established technologies (such as AWS CloudFront), and ship powerful features, like insanely fast real-time image processing.
This role is both technical (hands-on) and people-focused: you’ll be leading a team of skilled engineers across the stack (frontend, backend, devops), manage execution and deliveries in the team, and also work hands-on implementing features. You’ll be collaborating and co-owning the roadmap and the output of the team with the PM.
As the team is exposed to working with a wide range of technologies (AWS, PHP, Node.js, C++, TypeScript, React), you’ll be expected to be able to support them and make important technical decisions. With that said, it’s not expected of you to be proficient at writing code in all of these areas.
\n
- Lead a software development team, mentor engineers, inspiring high performance, and fostering team cohesion.
- Hands-on development of backend-heavy products and services.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., QA, DevOps) to align on goals and deliverables.
- Contribute to product strategy, plan team roadmap, and drive the team toward measurable, successful outcomes.
- Actively participate in hands-on development, working alongside engineers to design, implement, and review features.
- Take ownership of delivering high-quality software on time, proactively managing risks and dependencies.
- Architect scalable solutions, guide technical vision, and balance innovation with technical debt.
- Apply expertise in Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) to optimize team processes and enhance efficiency.
- You can work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or on-site in our St. Gallen office – or even mix it up during the week! Choose where to work from that works best for you.
- You’ve led software development teams for at least 2 years, mentoring engineers, inspiring high performance and fostering a cohesive team.
- You have a proven professional experience as a Backend Engineer, and exposure working with Frontend and Infrastructure technologies.
- You are happy to be hands-on coding up to 50% of the time, working with PHP.
- You're an expert in architecting/designing, developing, and maintaining large software solutions.
- You effectively partner with PMs, designers, and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., QA, DevOps) to align on goals and deliverables.
- You’ve contributed to product strategy, planned OKRs, and driven your team to measurable, successful outcomes.
- You speak English fluently.
