Health Office Graubünden | 80% | Chur
As a department directly subordinated to the Department of Justice, Security and Health, the Health Office is responsible for the tasks assigned to it by law and regulations in the field of healthcare. In particular, it is responsible for healthcare and health prevention, as far as these are cantonal tasks. Essentially, the activities of the Health Office can be divided into the following areas: approvals and supervision of professions and institutions in the healthcare sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicinal and narcotic substances, health promotion and prevention, as well as controlling the granting of cantonal contributions to eligible healthcare institutions.
The legal service is responsible for supervising persons and businesses in the health sector in the legal areas assigned to the Health Office according to federal and cantonal law (health, medicinal products, medical and health professions, epidemics, health insurance law). It advises and supports the office and specialist departments on legal issues, provides legal information in the healthcare sector, and coordinates the enforcement of the health insurance obligation with the federal government and canton.
We are looking for a legal staff member in the legal service for the Health Office by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Conducting supervisory administrative and disciplinary proceedings as well as misdemeanor proceedings, in particular leading proceedings and drafting health police orders
- Conducting procedures concerning exemption from professional secrecy
- Drafting statements in supervisory complaint procedures
- Processing requests under the Public Information Act
- Supporting municipalities in implementing the mandatory health insurance
- Legal clarifications in the health sector
- Legal advice to specialist departments
- Collaboration with the office's specialists in medicine, dentistry, and medicinal products
- Preparing statements for the department or the federal government
What we expect from you
- Completed law degree, preferably with a lawyer's license
- Several years of professional experience in public administration, justice, or legal practice
- Independent and precise work
- Willingness to take on responsibility
- Teamwork skills, high social competence
- Analytical, structured, and conceptual thinking ability
- Quick comprehension
- Ability for interdisciplinary exchange
- Linguistic fluency and stylistic confidence in oral and written expression
- Good IT skills
- Basic knowledge of Italian is an advantage
