Workshop Instructor – Trainer: Polymechanics (100%)
The MSW is a training center of the city of Winterthur for technical apprenticeships in the field of mechatronics. Thanks to the combination of the three learning locations under one roof, theory and practice can be optimally coordinated. This comprehensive training enables learners to transfer to the university of applied sciences, and the MSW is an alternative to academic education. The MSW trains apprentices in the professions of polymechanics, automation, and electronics. To strengthen our team of polymechanics, we are looking for a committed and motivated workshop instructor / trainer as of September 1, 2026, or by arrangement. In this role, you will take on a variety of tasks in vocational basic education and support our learners on their way into the professional world.Your Tasks
- Training and supervision of apprentices in the 1st and 2nd year of training in the profession of polymechanic EFZ according to the specifications of the SBFI and the MSW mission statement
- Imparting professional, methodological, and social skills as well as promoting independence and quality awareness
- Planning, organizing, and conducting practical modules, learning objective controls, and preparation for partial exams
- Participation in the development or further development of teaching materials, workshop processes, and manufacturing projects
- Collaboration with subject teachers, trainers in the team, and partner companies
- Supervision of customer orders, project work, and possibly inter-company courses
Your Profile
- Completed training as a polymechanic EFZ or comparable technical training with HF further education or equivalent qualification, ideally with further education as an ÜK leader or trainer or willingness to complete this
- Several years of professional experience in CNC technology and manufacturing
- Experience with teaching/learning processes
- Good knowledge of CAD/CAM, MS Office as well as manufacturing/workshop processes; structured, committed, and team-oriented work
- German spoken and written, ideally including high social and communication skills
