The Lehrmittelverlag Zürich is one of the leading providers of teaching and learning materials in Switzerland. As a cantonal publisher, it develops and produces curriculum-guiding teaching materials primarily for elementary schools with around 75 employees.
To support our team in Zurich-Binz, we are looking for a communication specialist as soon as possible.
Task
The focus of your area of responsibility is media work: You take over media service 1–2 days a week, respond to media inquiries, prepare content in the form of Q&As and media dossiers, and coordinate the necessary clarifications with management, the education directorate, and the specialist departments. In addition, you are responsible for communication around our digital platform LMVZ digital: You plan and write newsletters, contributions for our customer magazine, as well as content for the support page, and ensure that further developments of digital functions are communicated clearly and understandably. Additionally, you contribute to communication about our new products and projects: You write and edit texts, including for the blog and the new product catalog. You also coordinate award submissions, prepare short informational and project texts as well as success stories, and write contributions for our blog and social media channels.
Requirements
You have a solid education in communication or journalism and several years of professional experience in media work. Ideally, you have worked in corporate communications for an administration or a comparable organization. You appreciate a versatile field of work and a lively daily routine. You find it easy to balance planning and spontaneity. Well-structured, you keep an overview even under time pressure. With your open, direct manner and a touch of humor, you contribute to appreciative teamwork. You convince with confident German and bring experience in writing and editing texts for media work and marketing communication. You are familiar with CMS and CRM systems as well as MS Office programs. Social media is a natural communication channel for you, which you help shape content-wise.
