Your new role
As Head of Vocational Education, you bear overall responsibility for all topics related to our apprentices and internship positions. You advise and support the line managers – from recruitment through supervision to challenging conversations in cases of conflicts or disciplinary matters – and ensure that all administrative processes related to training run efficiently and smoothly. At the city administration, you oversee around 70 apprentices in 12 different professional fields as well as about 90 internship positions. In addition, you are responsible for commercial vocational training and actively represent the city administration at schools, fairs, and information events.
This position is for you if you
- want to make a difference with your advanced technical college degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- already have solid experience in a similar role – ideally in a larger organization or in public administration.
- enjoy supporting, promoting, and strengthening young people in their development.
- are well versed in Swiss labor law and the vocational education system and like to contribute your knowledge.
- are a natural leader, think strategically, and lead with structure and goal orientation.
