The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich.
It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for the directorates, authorities, judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton into the digital world.
Attached to the AFI is the cantonal Center for Cybersecurity (CCSC) as the competence center of the Canton of Zurich in the field of information security.

In the Canton of Zurich, we operate a variety of applications that support many employees daily at work. To keep them secure, we need you: a personality who recognizes risks, contributes to solutions, and strategically develops the topic of application security.
Your tasks:
- Responsible for information security risk management in the area of application security at the cantonal level
- Development of strategies, guidelines, and standards – and support in implementation
- Advising contacts throughout the canton on application security questions and developing concrete tools (e.g., bug bounty, penetration testing, DevSecOps).
- Support in secure application development – e.g., through tooling, code repositories, or ISDS concepts
- Building and leading the cantonal interest group on the topic as well as active stakeholder management
- Designing training and workshops and assisting with auditing as well as ensuring compliance
Your profile:
- University degree (Master) in computer science, information security, or a related field
- Further training such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent is an advantage – or you are willing to complete it.
- Experience in application security, DevSecOps, or risk management – or strong interest in working on these topics
- You communicate confidently in German and English
- You enjoy working with different stakeholders, can listen, advise, and convince – without being patronizing.
- You think strategically, act solution-oriented, and bring new ideas.
