About the job
Clinical Pharmacist Science and Service 60–100%
The Swiss Pharmacists Association pharmaSuisse is committed to a high-quality, practice-oriented, and future-oriented professional profile and represents the interests of pharmacists in politics and business to create optimal framework conditions. We operate in the dynamic healthcare sector and in a demanding and challenging labor market.
For our Innovations department, we are looking for a dedicated and innovative personality from March 1, 2026, or by arrangement as
Clinical Pharmacist Science and Service (60–100%).
As a Scientific Employee, you are part of the Science and Service team and make a central contribution to the establishment and content design of a scientific-clinical competence center. At the same time, you act as a contact person for clinical questions from pharmacy practice. You specifically bring your expertise in clinical pharmacy into the development, implementation, and further development of pharmaceutical services – especially in the areas of medication analysis, pharmaceutical care, and interprofessional collaboration. You also ensure that clinical questions are answered in an evidence-based, practice-oriented, and consistent manner and that new scientific findings are systematically transferred into practice.
You actively engage in the further development of pharmaceutical practice, strengthening professional autonomy, and sustainably enhancing the clinical role of pharmacists in the Swiss healthcare system.
Your main tasks
- You actively participate in building a scientific-clinical competence center and continuously develop it structurally and content-wise.
- You develop tools and decision bases to support clinical services in the pharmacy. In doing so, you contribute to improving therapeutic relevance, medication safety, and quality of care.
- You create, update, and ensure the quality of scientific documents for our members. This ensures validated, current, and practice-oriented knowledge.
- You develop and design case studies and clinical vignettes. This promotes clinical thinking and pharmaceutical decision-making.
- You observe and document therapeutic innovations, guideline updates, and therapy equivalences to provide targeted information to members.
- You train and advise our members and strengthen their clinical competencies as well as their autonomy in patient care.
- You collaborate with other professional associations, health authorities, and academic partners. This promotes the clinical role of pharmacists and contributes to harmonizing practice.
- You evaluate the impact of implemented services and tools and ensure their effectiveness, sustainability, and contribution to continuous improvement.
Your profile
- You have a completed degree in pharmacy (M.Sc.) or medicine; an FPH in clinical pharmacy or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
- You bring solid knowledge in clinical pharmacy, especially in therapy optimization, medication analysis, and therapy safety.
- You are confident in developing, updating, and maintaining didactic content such as courses, case studies, and tools.
- You demonstrate high competence in scientific analysis, structured documentation, and clear presentation of complex information.
- You have good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, ideally related to community pharmacy practice.
- Your native language is German or French, and you have good knowledge of the other language. Additionally, you understand English well in a scientific context.
- You think analytically, communicate clearly, work networked, and act independently with a high quality standard.
We offer you
- The position can be combined with clinical activity.
- Responsible and varied tasks with a very high degree of independence.
- Small team with short decision-making paths and plenty of scope for design.
- Flexible working hours model and possibility of home office.
- Development and training opportunities.
- Attractive workplace with very good accessibility by public transport.
- Further information about our services can be found on our website under what we offer.
