Digital Systems, Data & Process Lead 80-100% (m/f/d)
Caritas Switzerland is a leading aid organization in the field of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. Our top priority is poverty reduction. The programs of International Cooperation focus on the topics of income, climate, and migration. We operate in around 15 countries.
Your tasks
1. CARA (Project & Portfolio Management Platform) Support & System Transition
2. Data Management, Data Structure & Analysis
3. Digitization & Documentation
4. Processes & Work Organization
- Ensuring ongoing CARA support (short- and medium-term) including training of employees
- Documentation of system logics, data flows, and support processes
- Demand-driven further development of CARA (e.g., digitization of processes)
- Professional support of the transition from CARA to Salesforce, including requirements from the IC perspective (medium- and long-term)
2. Data Management, Data Structure & Analysis
- Building and maintaining clear data structures for the International Cooperation (IC) area (e.g., on programs, projects, topics, partners, volume, etc.)
- Ensuring consistent data quality, data preparation, and data maintenance
- Analyzing information and control needs and identifying relevant data gaps (e.g., performance, financial, or impact data)
- Supporting strategic management through portfolio analyses (e.g., by regions, topics, partners, volume)
- Developing simple analysis and reporting bases for operational and strategic purposes
- Interface between professional requirements and technical solutions
3. Digitization & Documentation
- Initiating and coordinating digitization initiatives for Caritas Switzerland-IC as well as participating in organization-wide projects
- Supporting IC teams in digital work organization, documentation, and filing structures
- Developing and introducing binding standards for digital and physical filing (IC section, country organizations, projects)
- Supporting coherent digital stakeholder and partner management (CRM) in coordination with Caritas Switzerland-wide initiatives
4. Processes & Work Organization
- Supporting operational roles in describing, visualizing, digitizing, and maintaining their IC processes
- Ensuring a coherent, understandable, and standardized process structure
- Promoting the linking of processes, data, and systems (e.g., project cycle ↔ data ↔ reporting)
Our requirements
- Experience in data management, data analysis, and digitization projects, ideally in the NGO/non-profit or public sector
- Very good understanding of data structures and data logics
- Experience in preparing and using data for portfolio, control, or decision-making processes; knowledge of PowerBI (or similar tools) is an advantage
- Understanding of business and process landscapes
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce is an advantage)
- Ability to document and communicate complex relationships in a structured way
- Analytical, structured, and independent working style
- Very good German and good English skills (French or Spanish additionally an advantage)
Workplace is Lucerne
