As a Bartender, you are the soul of the bar, the ambassador of taste, rhythm, and Fairmont's signature service. Creative and passionate, you participate in the creation of signature cocktails, explore mixology trends, and offer each guest a unique and special experience.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the supervisor, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to: 

• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Regularly propose new cocktails and actively participate in the dynamic development of Funky Claude’s Bar
• Creative and innovative, you are on the lookout for new trends to offer iconic cocktails
• Assist guests in discovering the drink menu and advise them on cocktails
• Welcome guests with warm service
• Assume the setup for evening service
• Create customer relationships
• Manage a cash float responsibly and honestly
• Control daily stock, at opening and closing
• Participate in creating a Funky atmosphere at the Bar
• Participate in themed evenings and contribute to the entertainment
• Know the drink menu, cocktails, and promotions perfectly
• Know all the dishes on the menu, their garnishes, contents, and preparation methods perfectly
• Handle complaints arising from the bar and inform your superiors who will follow up if necessary.
• Ensure the quality of preparations served at the bar and those going to the dining room
• Participate in inventories and other stock or merchandise controls
• Share the responsibility for cleaning Funky Claude's Bar (cleanliness, organization, return to cellar, etc.)
• Prepare setups for any special event, promotion, or specialty
• Know the concept of Funky Claude’s Bar and its history
• Learn the technical standards and motifs of LQA and put them into practice
• Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work for another department on a temporary basis
• Commit to the quality of your service, your discretion, and your perfect honesty
• Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
• Respect ergonomic work standards in health & safety regulations, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
• Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and the company
• All other tasks as assigned

• Previous experience of 1 year as a bartender
• Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel
• Fluency in French
• Good knowledge of the English language 
• Degree in service or recognized bar qualification is an asset
• Excellent knowledge of classic cocktail preparation and creations
• Passionate about mixology
• Creative, innovative, and on the lookout for new trends to offer bold and contemporary cocktails.
• Outgoing, cheerful, sociable, helpful, and available.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the OperaCloud system is an asset
• Competitive spirit for sales
• Particularly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

The physical implications of these positions include, but are not limited to:

• Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period

In order to work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from a European country of the EU – 17 or EU -8.
