As a Lombard Credit Risk Officer, you are responsible for the approval and monitoring of credit risks of private clients. For the client advisors, you are thus an important contact person in all credit matters. The goal is to understand, quantify, and correctly assess credit risks in order to avoid credit losses.YOUR TASKS
In this exciting role, you can expect the following main tasks:
Responsibility for all credit-relevant aspects of your own credit portfolio, which consists of Swiss and foreign private banking clients:
Preparation of the credit application, analysis and assessment of credit requests regarding the borrower, the guarantor, the collateral granted for securities-backed loans, the purpose of the loan and the form of use such as cash loans, derivatives, hedges
Approval of securities-backed loans within the assigned credit authority (depending on risk rating and limit amount)
Approval of customer-specific special lending values
Identification, analysis and quantification of credit risks
Ongoing monitoring of credit decisions made and detection and assessment of securities-backed credit overruns as well as implementation of appropriate measures (for example in the case of margin calls)
Support of client advisors, especially with regular as well as complex credit overruns, their resolution and with new credit requests
Checking credit documents for completeness
Administration of portfolios, for example approval of fixed advances, payment releases and proper documentation of loans
Support, advice and training of assigned client advisors in private banking
Giving presentations to client advisors and team leaders
Preparation and delivery of training sessions for credit specialists
Participation in credit-related projects
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor's degree or completed studies at a university or university of applied sciences (economics, banking, finance, law), or equivalent education or professional experience
Several years of professional experience in the (Lombard) credit area is an advantage
Solid expertise regarding the credit-technical handling of life insurance policies (wrappers, ULIP) is a plus
Interest in the functioning of financial markets and financial institutions
Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Very good analytical skills
Independent, reliable and team-oriented personality with negotiation skills
Very good German and English skills (spoken and written), additional languages are an advantage
