Your Tasks
- Development and implementation of teaching offers for sound design in the field of documentary and essay film for all three bachelor years
- Content and organizational planning and further development of the sound training of the study program
- Coordination of the lecturers involved in the sound training
- Support of students during the development and production of their documentary short films, especially supervision of students in the final year who have chosen the sound focus
- Collaboration in production support (cross-film-area maintenance and further development of film-specific technical infrastructure) in the area of responsibility of sound
- Close cooperation with other teachers and the head of the study program
- Assumption of general tasks in the Bachelor Video and participation in the further development of the study program
Your Profile
- Completed university degree (Master or equivalent), preferably in the field of film or a related field
- Own practice as a film sound designer of documentary and essayistic productions with sound knowledge in the areas of film sound mixing, mastering, and sound studio supervision (Pro Tools including plugins, 5.1 and 7.1 mixes)
- Additionally, sound knowledge in at least one of the following areas: set or original sound, sound design, sound editing, film music, field recording, sound studies
- Experience in teaching, interest in imparting knowledge and implementing different didactic concepts
- Interest in technical and artistic questions/developments in the areas of camera, audio, and post-production
- High organizational talent
- Very good German skills and good English skills in spoken and written form
- Certificate in higher education didactics or willingness to acquire this within the scope of the employment
- Enjoyment of exchange within the team and with students, as well as engagement with topics such as diversity, anti-racism, gender, class
