with the Social Action Service, Asylum Office, within the Orphanage of the Mission School in St-Gingolph

The Social Action Service includes the Coordination Office for Social Benefits, the Coordination Office for Disability Issues, and the Asylum Office.

Your tasks

• You provide socio-educational support to young children from asylum backgrounds
• You promote their autonomy and support them in their schooling
• You ensure supervision adapted to the needs of the children
• You organise and lead socio-educational activities
• You undertake evening and weekend duties
• You collaborate with various network partners according to the needs of the beneficiaries
• You monitor compliance with standards of order, cleanliness, and hygiene

Your profile

• Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a socio-educational assistant or equivalent training
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in complex situations
• Excellent adaptability, listening and communication skills, as well as a strong aptitude for teamwork
• Methodical, organised, and autonomous
• Sense of priorities and interpersonal skills
• High stress resistance
• Native French speaker
• Knowledge of other languages would be an asset

Start date - Special conditions

• Start date: immediately or to be agreed

• Fixed-term contract: the duration is linked to fluctuations in the number of people the canton is obliged to accommodate under the Federal Asylum Act
