About the job
Employee in the Finance Department 80 - 100%The Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs is one of seven directorates of the Zurich Government Council. Our exceptionally broad field of activity ranges from law enforcement to cultural promotion. The General Secretariat supports the head of the directorate as a staff unit in managing the directorate and provides services for its units and especially, with the legislative service, also for other directorates.
To strengthen our team in the finance area, we are looking for an employee in accounting starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement. The position is initially limited until the end of March 2028.
Your tasks include
- Managing various accounting books including accounts receivable, accounts payable, expenses, IC reconciliations
- Interim and annual financial statements according to the accounting manual and compliance with IKS requirements
- Deputizing within the accounting team
- Participating in the ongoing review and further development of IKS
Your profile
- A completed commercial or equivalent education
- Several years of professional experience in accounting (preferably in public administration)
- SAP experience (especially the modules FI, SD, CO, CML) and excellent MS Office skills (especially Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams)
- A motivated, independent working style, quick comprehension, and high willingness to learn
- Holistic thinking and a well-organized working style, which you gladly and actively contribute to the team
