Associate psychologist for the Palliative and Supportive Care Service
The Specialized Liaison Psychiatry Unit (UPLS) is looking for an associate psychologist at an 80% activity rate on a permanent contract, starting June 1, 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Palliative and Supportive Care Service of CHUV provides care for adult patients of all ages suffering from a progressive disease limiting their life expectancy and for whom curative treatment alone is no longer appropriate, regardless of the stage of progression and nature of their disease.
This position primarily involves a clinical part: brief psychological assessments and/or interventions with patients in palliative situations as well as with their relatives, through individual, couple, and family interviews. It also involves liaison work through transmissions and recommendations to the team.
It includes a second part dedicated to supervising assistant psychologists in the form of weekly individual supervisions, teaching in the field of palliative care, participation in working groups and/or expert groups in the field of palliative care. Active participation in the interdisciplinary work specific to the field is required, as well as availability to assist in resolving difficulties or conflicts within the service teams.
Mission
- You ensure clinical activity within the mobile outpatient team
- You participate in teaching in the field of palliative care and at the interface with liaison psychiatry
- You carry out supervision activities for assistant psychologists.
Profile
- You hold a master's degree in psychology or an equivalent qualification
- You have a FSP specialization title in psychotherapy
- You have very good knowledge of psychopathology
- Ideally, you have experience as a senior psychologist
- You have desired knowledge in the field of palliative care.
