The AERZTEFON is the official contact point of the Canton of Zurich for non-life-threatening medical emergencies. We are available around the clock, 365 days a year, for the population of the Canton of Zurich.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for the competent telephone handling of medical emergencies
- You ensure a friendly, trustworthy first contact and decide where patients need to be directed (triage)
- You promptly and carefully record medical concerns and administer them in our case management system
Your requirements
- Completed training as an MPA or nursing professional with several years of professional experience
- Ability to work precisely and calmly even in demanding situations
- Friendly, empathetic demeanor and clear, articulate communication style
- Very good German skills (first or second native language) as well as confident English skills for telephone calls. Additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to learn new things and continuously develop
- Flexibility for shift work (early, late, and night shifts as well as weekend assignments)
- Working from home is possible. There must be a willingness to work about 40% of the working time on-site at our headquarters (Binzmühlestrasse 95, 8050 Zurich)
- The first two months are dedicated to training and must be completed on-site
