To strengthen our team, we are looking for a designer. In this role, you actively shape the development of innovative laser systems, support projects from the concept phase through design to production – and thus face the current and future challenges in industry and medical technology.
YOUR TASKS ARE:
- Analysis of requirements and derivation of the technical specification of mechanical components
- Creation of 3D models in CAD (parts/assemblies) and derivation of technical drawings
- Support in the conception of new assemblies
- Construction of functional models and prototypes
- Operation of the 3D printer including coordination with other teams
- Contribution of innovative ideas to solve technical issues
- Creation and maintenance of (product) items, item masters, and bills of materials in the PLM system
- Support in change management
- Close collaboration within the project team and, if necessary, with other internal and external parties, e.g., suppliers, etc.
YOU BRING WITH YOU:
- Engineering degree (HTL, FH or TU/ETH) in mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a comparable field
- Basic training as a designer
- Knowledge in the design of optical systems is an advantage
- Solid knowledge in the use of 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks, Inventor preferred)
- Preferably familiar with calculation and simulation programs
- Pioneering spirit and enthusiasm for new technologies
- Enjoyment of teamwork and interest in the processes and applications of our customers
- Good English skills, both spoken and written
