Your responsibilities include:

• Leading R&D projects and subprojects from concept phase to completion, including managing schedules, risks, and communication with stakeholders
• Leading, designing, and developing mechanical components using CAD software to ensure feasibility, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards
• Creating and maintaining technical drawings, 3D models, and design documentation to support the development of new products and innovations
• Developing new products from the initial idea through pilot series to mass production
• Planning and cost calculation of development projects
• Researching, evaluating, and negotiating with external partners and suppliers
• Close control and management of suppliers and their respective deadlines
• Planning and calculation of products using manual preliminary calculations
• Prototyping in the SkyCell workshop
• Planning, conducting, and documenting test series
• Planning and training of assembly processes (SOPs)
• Supporting the creation of necessary documentation for assembly processes and mass production
• Developing and documenting handling and service center processes for developed products
• Ensuring technical knowledge transfer within SkyCell
• Continuous improvement of our processes
• Checking and approving incoming invoices
• Supporting the production department in engineering matters

• Completed studies in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a comparable technical field, or training as a technician HF
• Very good knowledge in the use of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks is an advantage) as well as a solid understanding of mechanical design principles
• Experience in project management – including planning, implementation, and coordination with various stakeholders
• Ability to precisely and clearly translate technical concepts into CAD drawings and technical documentation
• Experience in workflow management, process optimization, and/or lean management is an advantage
• Deep understanding of thermodynamic processes, vibration damping, as well as static and dynamic calculations
• Experience in technical project management
• Experience in developing new products up to mass production
• Manual skills and practical experience in implementing technical solutions
• Language skills: German and English, spoken and written
