Head of Workplace Engineering 80 - 100%The Office for Informatics (AFI) is the IT competence center of the Canton of Zurich.
It provides comprehensive services in the area of central IT infrastructure and canton-wide applications for directorates, authorities, judiciary, and independent institutions. Commissioned with the implementation of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) strategy, the office accompanies the canton into the digital world.
In the Workplace Engineering team, you actively shape the digital future of the Canton of Zurich. Do you want to help design the digital workplace of an entire canton? In this key role, you lead the Workplace Engineering team both professionally and personally and actively shape the workplace strategy of the cantonal IT.
To strengthen our Workplace Engineering team, we are looking for you as a team leader.
Your tasks
- Leadership and further development of the Workplace Engineering team
- Responsibility for operation, solution architecture, and security in the workplace area
- Budget, resource, and deployment planning
- Collaboration with internal departments and external partners
- Participation in strategy, transformation, and innovation in the workplace environment
Your profile
- Completed IT education (HF, Bachelor, or Master)
- At least 8 years of professional experience, including 4 in the workplace/Microsoft environment
- At least 2 years of leadership experience
- Profound know-how in Microsoft technologies
- Experience in designing and implementing complex IT workplace solutions
- Very good German and good English skills
- Analytical and conceptual thinking as well as structured working method
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and enjoyment of teamwork
