Our client is seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join its Corporate Legal Department at its headquarters in Geneva, for a fixed-term assignment of approximately 6 months. This position is ideal for a commercial lawyer with 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience who thrives in a fast-paced, international, and highly diversified environment. You will be part of a collaborative and growing legal team based in Geneva, working closely with colleagues across multiple international offices. The role requires a high level of autonomy, strong business acumen, and the ability to quickly integrate into ongoing operations to ensure continuity during this period.
Commercial Legal Counsel - 6-month fixed-term assignment
Main responsibilities

Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service agreements, sponsorship agreements, license agreements, collaborations, flight charter agreements, SaaS agreements, concession agreements, MOUs, and NDAs

Provide pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders across various departments

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies

Contribute to the development and implementation of contracting and procurement policies

Support the creation of contract templates and internal training materials

Work both independently and collaboratively with legal team members on diverse legal matters
We are looking for a profile with the following qualifications

Admission to the bar or equivalent qualification (European or common law background is an advantage)

5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience, gained in a law firm and/or in-house, with exposure to international operations

Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); French or Italian is considered a strong asset

Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and project management skills

Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-evolving environment

Proactive mindset, flexibility, and willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic organization

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle a high volume of varied contractual matters
