The youth work of the city of Uster works locally, mobile and project-oriented. It operates the youth center in the Zeughaus area, visits youth-specific hotspots in public spaces and carries out various projects such as youth jobs, the Sports Night or the Beauty Studio. To complement our motivated team, we are looking for a

Youth worker 60%

Your main tasks

• You are responsible for the professional operation of the youth center
• You accompany young people in a low-threshold manner in the transition to adulthood with individual and group counseling
• Gender-specific youth work with young women, such as leading the "Girls-Treff" format
• You are administratively and professionally responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects, events and offers
• You develop resources for youth activities and work with local key persons, schools, the youth service of the city police, the youth prosecutor's office, neighborhood organizations, local and cantonal networks

You bring with you

• You have practical experience in working with young people as well as a degree in social work, socio-cultural animation or psychology
• You have a great understanding and interest in the reality and phase of youth
• You are an open, empathetic and resilient person
• You bring proven experience in project work
• You enjoy working in a team, act reflectively and appear confident
• You are willing to work irregular hours (Friday evening and occasionally on weekends)
