Officer in charge of procedure and repatriation
Migration and Civil Law Office / 80 – 100% / Workplace Chur
Currently, the Migration and Civil Law Office has 230 employees active at more than 20 locations and is responsible for all tasks in the field of migration, in particular for the issuance and revocation of permits, placement and assistance, the execution of removals as well as integration. In addition, the office issues identity documents to Swiss citizens, carries out naturalizations, and supervises civil status authorities. The main office of the Migration and Civil Law Office is located in Chur.
For the Migration and Civil Law Office, we are looking for an officer in charge immediately or by agreement.

Tasks
- Processing and control from a procedural and especially legal perspective regarding the execution of asylum applications assigned to the canton
- Organization of voluntary departures and forced repatriations
- Contact with foreign persons as well as with cantonal partner organizations and federal authorities
- Adoption of organizational measures
- Conducting interrogations and drafting minutes
- Preparation of reports, statements, and decisions
- Handling general correspondence and various administrative tasks
What we expect from you
- Commercial vocational training or equivalent
- Several years of professional experience as well as experience in handling legal matters
- Autonomy, responsibility, and decisiveness
- Ability to work in a team, accurate and precise working method
- Insight and ability to think interdisciplinarily
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Flexibility and efficient, goal-oriented working method
- Strong assertiveness and high capacity to handle large workloads
- Empathy in contact with different cultures and life stories
- Knowledge of foreign languages and a category B driving license are an advantage
- Willingness to be on call outside of working hours;
