About the job
Aarau, as the cantonal capital - centrally located between Zurich, Basel, and Bern - is an important economic, cultural, and educational center with a supraregional influence. As a future-oriented and modern employer, the City of Aarau relies on motivated employees.
The Human Resources department is looking for a
Responsible Person for Occupational Safety starting April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
You ensure the implementation and compliance with regulations and our occupational safety concept. By advising line managers, BESIBE, and employees, you contribute to the continuous improvement of the safety culture. You develop and conduct training on safety issues. You identify hazards, determine appropriate countermeasures, and monitor their implementation. Writing well-founded and understandable reports is no problem for you.
Your technical or commercial basic training and further education as a specialist ASGS with a federal certificate or as an expert ASGS can be profitably applied in your daily work through your professional experience. You have strong communication and presentation skills to conduct training and convince stakeholders. With your hands-on mentality and healthy assertiveness, you succeed well in establishing safety and health protection topics in the City of Aarau.
We offer you an exciting and varied activity with plenty of scope for design. Modern working conditions such as annual working hours, a centrally located workplace, and an open informal culture are a matter of course for us. In addition, you benefit from numerous benefits such as lunch and Reka checks, contributions to fitness subscriptions, etc.
We look forward to your application. Your questions will be gladly answered by Marianne Iseli, Head of Human Resources, T 062 843 45 74.
