At Johnson Electric, we are looking for a System Engineering Manager in our R&D department in Murten, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for our Software and Hardware Engineering teams, ensuring that our electronic systems development runs with the right structure, discipline, and mindset. Your focus will be on Functional Safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE, and Cyber Security — making sure every stage of development reflects the highest standards of process excellence and compliance, and that our teams have the framework they need to deliver safe, reliable, and future-ready systems.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate development activities within the Software and Hardware Engineering teams.

Ensure compliance with such as Functional Safety (ISO 26262), ASPICE and Cyber Security requirements across projects and product lines.

Support TISAX certification and other regulatory initiatives related to cybersecurity and safety.

Develop and strengthen Functional Safety competencies within the engineering organization.

Drive consistency, sustainability, and collaboration across teams — enabling strong cross-functional teamwork (SW, HW, Systems).

Leverage Johnson Electric’s global structure — working closely with teams in India, China and Europe to improve efficiency and process maturity.

Serve as a key contact for process-related and technical topics with both internal stakeholders and customers.

Promote best practices in QFD, FMEA, and development documentation to ensure audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Support AI-driven engineering initiatives to optimize development methods and tools.
Our Requirements:

Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or other relevant studies.

10 years of relevant experience with exposure to software and hardware projects, ideally in automotive environment.

Strong understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety, ASPICE and Cyber Security

Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate cross-functional engineering activities.

Experience with customer-facing projects and regulatory audits.

Fluent in English; German or French would be a strong advantage.
