Speech Therapist Separative Special Education (a)

At the Special Education School of HPZS, we support children and adolescents with cognitive impairments, practical educational abilities, and multiple disabilities in small classes from kindergarten to school leaving on their path to greater self-determination.
Your tasks
- You conduct assessments in the area of language development and create well-founded findings as well as individual treatment plans.
- With speech therapy measures, you specifically support children and adolescents in optimally developing their language skills and gaining new self-confidence.
- With empathy and commitment, you advocate for the linguistic needs of the students and strengthen their self-efficacy through successful communication.
- You support teachers, parents, boarding staff, and other reference persons as a competent contact person and promote close, trusting collaboration.
- In addition, you actively engage in interdisciplinary projects and make a valuable contribution to the further development of our school.
Your profile
- You have an EDK-recognized or comparable training in speech therapy or are about to complete it.
- Whether you already have professional experience or are fresh from training – different profiles are welcome with us. As a beginner, you will be supported by a mentor in the first year.
- You have a great passion for the field of speech therapy, bring experience in supported communication, and are particularly interested in working with children and adolescents. Experience with other target groups is also very welcome with us.
- Thanks to your flexibility, communication skills, and curiosity, you find it easy to engage with people with special needs and respond appropriately to situations.
- You enjoy working independently and also gladly engage in interdisciplinary collaboration. Your flair for digital communication aids rounds off your profile.
