Your new role
Due to an early planned succession arrangement, we are looking for a new head for this versatile and responsible leadership position. You are a member of the corps management and lead the Permits/Administrative Police area with the associated departments and around 30 employees. You are responsible for all administrative police measures in the areas of traffic, trade, market, events, animal protection, and public space. In doing so, you actively contribute to a safe and livable St.Gallen. You represent the City Police St.Gallen in various specialist groups and committees. As a member of the corps management, you participate in the strategic further development of our corps and – after successfully completing the corresponding training – take on deployments as a duty officer (on-call).
This position is for you if you
- can demonstrate the federal specialist certificate police officer and/or a legal education (university, college or legal agent).
- have professional and ideally leadership experience and a high level of leadership understanding.
- are willing to complete the CAS FIP (Leadership in Police Operations) and subsequently serve as a police officer on duty.
- have pronounced communication and organizational skills.
- count negotiation skills and conceptual thinking among your strengths.
- have an impeccable reputation and consider high commitment, reliability, and confidentiality to be a matter of course.
