Summary
Execution of assigned tasks and activities in biopharmaceutical production in compliance with relevant GMP, occupational safety, and environmental guidelines.
Operational routine activities to properly carry out the manufacturing process and enable the timely provision of active ingredients in the correct quality and quantity.
About the Role
Major Accountabilities
- Participation in the manufacturing processes
- Execution of all necessary processing steps of cell banking with the highest level of knowledge in aseptic/low bioburden techniques (thawing, cell passage, cell counting, and freezing of the cell bank)
- Execution of all assigned activities according to the production plan and the applicable GMP, work, operational, environmental, and safety instructions and guidelines
- Proper and timely cleaning, preparation, and disinfection of production facilities and areas
- Responsibility for the housekeeping of the production area (cleaning, order, 5S, etc.)
- Compliance with and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental rules and guidelines (HSE)
- Application and enforcement of current GMP rules
- Sampling, aliquoting, distribution, and execution of process-related controls
- Excellent documentation of measures according to GMP regulations
Education:
Completed training as a chemical and pharmaceutical technician, technical degree; university degree (chemical engineering, pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, biochemistry) for some technology platforms desired or equivalent experience
Languages:
Basic knowledge of English and mastery of the local language of the location - German
Experiences:
At least 2 years of completed professional experience as a Novartis equipment operator or (preferably) 5 years in the fields of chemistry/food/pharmaceuticals/biotechnology/aseptic manufacturing or development
