The Cantonal Laboratory is looking for a

• Professional and personnel management and further development of the chemistry laboratory with three analytical areas and 12 employees (three apprentices)
• Planning and implementation of testing activities
• Legal assessment of test results and the labeling of food and consumer goods
• Writing test reports and ordering food law measures
• Professional support in optimizing existing and developing new test methods
• Participation in regional and national working groups

• University degree in chemistry, natural sciences or food technology with a focus on analytics
• Strong interest in analytical and food law issues
• Leadership experience
• Practical experience in the analysis of food and consumer goods, solid analytical knowledge, especially in the areas of GC, HPLC, IC, ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MS and -HRMS, enzymatics, etc.
• Team player with a desire to shape, structured and precise thinking and working style, and high quality awareness
• Very good oral and written communication skills in German, good knowledge of English
• Diploma for official food control (DAL) or willingness to obtain it alongside work
