Presentation
To ensure continuity of a key position within its administration, the Department of Fundamental Oncology of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL) is looking for an 80% accounting manager.
Active in a demanding and highly funded scientific field, the Department of Fundamental Oncology manages a significant volume of national and international research funds. This dynamic requires rigorous, responsive, and structured accounting management, particularly regarding supplier accounting.
We are looking for an experienced person capable of efficiently processing a large volume of invoices while ensuring reliable budget monitoring of research funds.

Contract duration: 1-year fixed-term contract, renewable to permanent
Work rate: 80%

Your activities
In direct collaboration with the administrative manager, you will mainly ensure the management of the department's supplier accounting, which represents the core activity of the position.
Additionally, you will participate in budget monitoring of research funds, preparation of financial reports, and, more occasionally, processing debtor operations.
You will work in a dynamic scientific environment involving a significant volume of financial transactions.
In your activities, you will be required to:
- Ensure complete management of supplier invoices (high volume): control, allocation, distribution to appropriate funds, validation follow-up, reminder management
- Process routine accounting operations related to research funds (orders, reimbursements, expense reports)
- Monitor budgets and use of research funds
- Open, monitor, and close research funds in institutional tools
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports and ensure their compliance
- Work closely with the financial service and fund managers
- Provide occasional administrative support for managing expense reports

Your profile
Education
Commercial employee CFC or equivalent qualification, supplemented by accounting training
Minimum 5 years of experience in a position focused on supplier accounting
Technical skills
- Proven experience in processing a large volume of supplier invoices.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Good understanding of budgetary mechanisms.
- Ability to read and interpret a simple budget (monthly monitoring, fund availability).
- Excellent command of French and very good written English (international scientific environment)

- Speed and efficiency in handling repetitive tasks

- Autonomy and sense of responsibility
