In the Materials Processes and Instrumentation group of the Magnets section, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Instrumentation of superconducting magnets with thermal, magnetic, and electrical sensors, including data acquisition and evaluation
- Planning, manufacturing, execution, and evaluation of process validation tests, e.g., soldering tests between superconductor and copper for current feed into the magnets
- Production and processing of impregnation media (epoxies and waxes) as well as electrical insulations (varnishes and ceramic coatings) for use in superconducting magnets – under guidance
- Design and manufacturing (turning, milling, drilling) of simple production and test tools

- Completed vocational training as a physics laboratory technician with a flair for electronics and sensor technology
- You are highly motivated to familiarize yourself with this exciting field and develop innovative solutions
- You like to contribute actively and have an independent, structured way of working
- You find it easy to interact with different contacts in German and English, and you enjoy working in an international environment
