In the Materials Processes and Instrumentation group of the Magnets section, we are looking for a

Your tasks

Instrumentation of superconducting magnets with thermal, magnetic, and electrical sensors, including data acquisition and evaluation
Planning, manufacturing, execution, and evaluation of process validation tests, e.g., soldering tests between superconductor and copper for current feed into the magnets
Production and processing of impregnation media (epoxies and waxes) as well as electrical insulations (varnishes and ceramic coatings) for use in superconducting magnets – under guidance
Design and manufacturing (turning, milling, drilling) of simple production and test tools

Your profile

Completed vocational training as a physics laboratory technician with a flair for electronics and sensor technology
You are highly motivated to familiarize yourself with this exciting field and develop innovative solutions
You like to contribute actively and have an independent, structured way of working
You find it easy to interact with different contacts in German and English, and you enjoy working in an international environment
