• Assessment of historical and technical contaminated site investigations
• Consultation and support of monitoring and remediation measures according to the Contaminated Sites Ordinance
• Review of building applications, plans, and environmental impact reports (EIR)
• Supervision of landfill operations and management of the regular revision of the cantonal landfill planning
• Statements on legal proceedings in cooperation with the cantonal legal service
• Close cooperation with districts, municipalities, companies, planners, specialist offices, and neighboring cantons
• Support of the office in public relations

• University or university of applied sciences degree, preferably in geology, environmental sciences, or chemistry
• Professional experience in the field of contaminated sites and landfills is an advantage
• Good negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Experience in project management as well as dealing with authorities and companies
• Confident and professional appearance combined with good communication skills
• Clean and conscientious working style
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
