The Lavaux Hospital is a private foundation recognized as a public interest, member of the Federation of Vaud Hospitals. Located in Cully (Bourg-en-Lavaux) amidst the vineyards, close to public transport, the school, and the Lavaux daycare.
Mission:
- Handle requests and issues raised by the various services of the institution.
- Implement recommendations on the ground by developing and updating protocols and/or instructions, if necessary. Especially in connection with the future relocation of the hospital.
- Stay informed about the evolution of current standards and directives and ensure their transmission to the relevant department heads.
- Participate in updating the hygiene, prevention, and infection control (HPCI) policy.
- Ensure that the application of the HPCI policy is always based on the most recent standards.
- Act as a liaison between the HPCI correspondents and the HPCI commission.
- Coordinate, within the institution, the HPCI monitoring (notably multi-resistant bacteria – MRB) proposed by the cantonal HPCI unit.
- Organize the necessary sampling within the framework of monitoring and investigations.
- Follow up on analysis results and implement, if necessary, appropriate corrective measures.
- Monitor infections within the institution.
- Keep the register of healthcare-associated infections up to date and ensure that all adequate measures are taken.
- Conduct vaccination campaigns
Profile sought:
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree in nursing (or equivalent recognized title),
- Holder of EPIAS or Junior HPCI training or an equivalent recognized title
- Clinical leadership
- Reflectiveness, ability to argue, excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally and to present logical and reasoned arguments.
- A sense of interdisciplinary teamwork
- Comfortable using computer tools
