• Conducting numerical flow simulations for all aerodynamic requirements of the TSI (crosswind, wake flow, head pressure impulse, and pressure signature in tunnels) as well as for thermal management, snow accumulation, contamination, and aeroacoustics
• Optimizations using adjoint and design space exploration methods
• Communicating simulation results to other departments
• Developing recommendations and proposals for aerodynamic solutions
• Supporting the preparation and execution of wind tunnel tests and full-scale tests

• Master's degree in engineering sciences with a specialization in aerodynamics and thermodynamics or equivalent education and experience
• Experience in aerodynamics, ideally in the railway industry
• Good technical knowledge of CFD methods
• Experience with commercial CFD software, ideally STAR-CCM+
• Experience with 1D code (e.g., Modelica, Amesim, MapleSim)
• Optional experience with programming languages (e.g., Matlab, Python, Julia)
• Presentation, communication, and report writing skills in German and English
• Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams
